Why do people want to become a carpenter?
Perhaps this is the voice of ancestors calling to the familiar work:
IT manager and programmer,

photographer and salesperson.

Вспомним: «Пряла наша Дуня не тоньше полена...» Есть талант или нет, независимо от этого все люди стремились постичь мастерство. И постигали, каждый по мере своих способностей. Один умел рубить многие виды углов и знал все, другой знал лишь половину, а третий только и научился, что рубить угол в охряпку. Четвертый ничего не умел, но из-за стыда все равно стремился учиться. И научивался хотя бы колья завостривать. Не ахти что, но и то лучше, чем ничего. Так было в любом деле.

Стандарт Норвежской рубки не был разработан SINTEF. Данный стандарт является собственностью Норвежских рубщиков деревянных домов www.norsklaft.no. С этого сайта документ можно скачать бесплатно и я не видел каких-то оговорок его использования. Данная организация дала мне разрешение на перевод на английский язык.

Глава 4 стандарта Норвежской рубки очень непроста для перевода. Без плотницкого англо-русского словаря работу выполнить невозможно. Такого в интернете пока не обнаружил. Надеюсь на посильную помощь.

Norwegian Log Building on round log/ Норвежская рубка на круглом бревне

International carpenters school Taiga released a Norwegian Log Building DVDs. Оne disk is the George Fuller lessons of the Norwegian Log Building on round log.
Международная школа плотников Тайга выпустила DVD пособия в чиcле которых один диск с уроками Джоржа Фуллера по теме "Норвежская рубка на круглом бревне".

The DVD includes the following lessons total duration of about 4 hours:
    * The selection and installation of flush logs with counting and cutting of the upper cup
    * Installation, marking and cutting the bottom cup of the 2 nd timber
    * Layout and cutting of the upper cup of the 2 nd logs, installation, additives and cutting the bottom cup 3rd logs
    * Layout and cutting of the upper cup 3rd logs, installation, additives and cutting cups 4-th beam

1.Preface.
This Standard has been produced by the Norwegian Log Home Builders Association, in cooperation with the Norwegian Institute for Wood Technology. The standard is primarily a result of expertise and knowledge contributed by association members and other log building specialists. Taking into consideration local variations and practice betweencompanies, the standard aspires to be flexible enough to accommodate several solutions.
The standard can be used for new construction and restoration work. On listed structures, expect additional demands.

The blog is double languages project because many Russian carpenter students learn English and our main teacher George Fuller learn Russian. The second target of the blog - practice in using English/Russian language.
Блог ведется на двух языках, потому что многие русские ученики изучают английский, а наш главный наставник Джорж Фуллер учит русский. Вторая цель блога - практика общения на английском/русском языках.

It's common case we'll do mistakes in both languages texts (Google translator can't tuning to the Log Building theme). But do not hesitate! It is better to speak with mistakes than keep silence without mistakes.
Наверняка будут встречаться ошибки и в английском и в русском текстах (переводчик Google не может настраиваться на контекст связанный с бревенчатой рубкой). Но не будем смущаться. Лучше неграмотно говорить чем грамотно молчать.
